Also, my camera is freaking out on me and I can only take one picture at a time (you know, before downloading it to my computer) and we moved in the last week...so pictures and a better post about him are forthcoming. I just didn't want you to think I had forgotten that he turned 6 months because I definitely did not! (He got the shots to prove it!)

Leo is 6 months old already!
It is true, Leo turned 6 months on Tuesday. I can't believe it has been that long and I can't remember life before him all at the same time!

Ironing
So I just spent over an hour ironing and, while I will not say that it was my first choice of how to spend my time this evening, I am so glad it is done! Wahoo! A big thanks to Ms. Sherrill, my middle-school home ec teacher, who taught me the proper way to iron a shirt. Acutally, I am sure my mom probably taught me before that, but I remember having a test on it back in McKamy Middle School. And while we are on that subject I would just like to say that I think everyone should be required to take home ec. Yes it was kind of a joke for me- learning how to sew on a button, making orange julius, writing a check, ironing shirts- but they are good skills to know and it is sad that not everyone today knows how.
Anywho, back to ironing. I don't mind the chore...it definitely beats doing the dishes or dusting the blinds. I think I like it because I am such a visual person and so it is easy to feel like I accomplished something- here is the big, wrinkly ironing pile and then there are all the nicely pressed clothes hanging in the closet where they belong...beautiful. Not to mention that I can do it while watching Netflix :) Most of our ironing is Nick's dress shirts- occasionally Leo or I have something, but not often. (Why do they make infant clothing that needs to be ironed? I know, it is because most everyone doesn't do it and it looks okay...but it just makes me cringe to look at it knowing that it would look so much better pressed! And yes, I am one of those people who irons the dirty laundry bag...don't judge me.) Tonight I lost count around shirt 9; I like being able to iron Nick's shirts though...it is a quick and easy way to feel like a good wife :)
So there is my tangent on ironing. Those thoughts were a lot more cohesive in my head...ironing is also great because it is a fairly mindless activity and I was thinking about all these things!
*Disclaimer: I would probably rather do the dishes than iron a french-cuff shirt...while I love the look of them on, I hate to iron them!*

We're Alive...just busy!
Yes we are still alive and I am still planning to blog someday, but we have recently been on vacation and are currently in the process of moving...not to mention trying to get Leo back to some sort of schedule and a million other little things! So for now the blog will have to wait...
Wish us luck...hopefully the next post will be from College Station! :)
