So what have I been living in you ask? Anything that stretches! I have a few knit skirts and a maxi dress my sister Amy let me borrow that are my life savers. And I have a bellyband (basically just a tube of shapewear type material) that helps my normal pants stay up and look ok even though they aren't buttoned. Other than that...lots and lots of jewelry to help my boringness not put myself to sleep.
So all in all, thus far I am giving maternity clothes a big fat thumbs down! Yes I have been to the real maternity stores at the mall...and even to Gap & Old Navy...but I am still not a fan of maternity clothes. They all look like I am a grandma, a sister missionary, or a teenager who shouldn't be pregnant in the first place. :(
Other than that, life has been fine. Nicholas and I enjoyed a nice birthday celebration with some of my friends from work and had a great Labor Day since we were both off work that day (a rarity in our home...every time one of us gets a holiday off, the other one has to work!) We also tried a new little crepe place that was super yummy...if any of you can get to CoCo Crepes in Vintage Park, you should! :)

I agree. It's like someone decided that all the other inconveniences and pains of pregnancy weren't enough and they had to add horrible clothing on top of it.
I found I liked some of Target's maternity clothes, and sometimes just buying larger sizes of regular clothes worked.
But, in the end, my maxi dress was my favorite piece of clothing. Good luck!
I hate maternity clothes as well. I already didn't feel like I looked good at all when I was pregnant and the clothes made it worse :). I wear mostly Target maternity clothes because I find I like those best.
yep, i thought that all of my unflattering flowy shirts would look great on me when pregnant, but they all looked worse.
i liked stretchy clothes best, too-- tight shirts (non-matern) from shade or wherever. they were most flattering under an open cardigan (i don't love obscenely tight clothes, but it made for a nice, non-frumpy bump sticking out from an otherwise normal outfit).
and for another boring but great basic, my white hanes v-necks (men's small in a 5-pk at wmart) looked good all the way through.
when my jeans stopped fitting, i liked under-bump jeans best. no love-handle squeezing or awkward lines across belly. they didn't really work until i tried wearing with a belt, though.
stretchy skirts with wide, fold-down waistbands are wonderful, too! and wrap dresses. okay that's all.

I don't really have any great tips, but I'm sorry it's so frustrating! It seems like it's hardest the first time around when you don't show as quickly. I guess fitting into maternity clothes is an up side to getting bigger faster the next time?! Not that that solves all the problems. Anyway, good luck. Hopefully it will get better!
Oh, and I want to try the crepe place... mmmmm!
